The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has placed Lhaviyani atoll Hinnavaru island under monitoring upon the detection of the Covid-19 case.
HPA also informs that it is not confirmed yet if the case is related to any of the recent clusters from the islands.
With the monitoring status, HPA has restricted travel to and from the island. Hinnavaru island is currently placed under monitoring for contact tracing and case investigation.
Recently, Naifaru island and Felivaru island from the same atoll as Hinnavaru island are also placed under monitoring due to Covid-19 cases. Both Naifaru and Felivaru Covid-19 cases are related to the Ungoofaaru cluster.
In addition to Hinnavaru, Lh. Felivaru, Lh. Naifaru, K. Dhiffushi, Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi, R. Hulhudhuffaaru, K. Huraa, F. Nilandhoo, R. Ungoofaaru and Dh. Kudahuvadhoo is currently under monitoring status.
