March 28, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 121 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 49 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 72 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 12 people are positive from operational resorts and 49 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 23,524 cases, including 2,728 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 639,691 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,728 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 105 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 20,723.

According to HPA, there are 93 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 66 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition, 232,175 people across the Maldives have received the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive.
