The Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure have signed with MTCC to design and build shore protection structures in five islands.

In a special ceremony held today, the agreements were signed by CEO Adam Azim signed on behalf of MTCC and Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed, on behalf of the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure.

The agreements signed today;

1. MVR 17.66 million project in M. Mulah island, to be completed in 105 days. The project involves the construction of a 411.90m geo bag revetment.

2. MVR 9.16 million project in V. Rakeedhoo island, to be completed within 105 days. The project involves the construction of a 200m breakwater and 40m groynes.

3. MVR 8.96 million project in R. Fainu island, to be completed within 180 days. The project involves, construction of 8100cbm of backfilling and bed preparation works and the construction of a 250m geo bag revetment.

4. MVR 10.13 million project in B. Thulhaadhoo, to be completed within 150 days. The project involves, construction of 11,700cbm of backfilling and bed preparation works and the construction of 280m geo bag revetment.

5. MVR 11.68 million project in R. Rasmaadhoo island, to be completed within 180 days. The project involves the construction of a 336m groynes.
