April 1, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 300 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 94 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 206 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 15 people are positive from operational resorts, 96 people are positive from inhabited islands, and 95 people positive from industrial islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 24,379 cases, including 3,022 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 653,492 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,625 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 127 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 21,282.

According to HPA, there are 101 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 67 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition, 240,773 people across the Maldives have received the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of this 3,057 people have vaccinated today.
