April 2, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 169 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 67 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 102 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 29 people are positive from operational resorts, 65 people are positive from inhabited islands, and 08 people positive from industrial islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 24,548 cases, including 3,104 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 655,557 test samples for Covid-19, while HPA has taken 3,044 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 86 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 21,368.

According to HPA, there are 89 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 67 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition, 241,127 people across the Maldives have received the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of this 354 people have vaccinated today.
