MTCC has commenced physical works on three development projects in M. Mulah island and M. Muli island today.

This includes; shore protection project in M. Mulah island, Meemu MIFCO Port Development project, and Meemu Airport Development project.

The shore protection project, in M. Mulah island was awarded to MTCC on March 29. The project involves construction of a 411.90m geo bag revetment. The MVR 17.66 million project is to be completed within 105 days.

During a ceremony was held today at M. Mulah to the physical works of Meemu MIFCO Port Development project was commenced. The project was awarded to MTCC on March 11, and the MVR 56.13 million project is to be completed within 300 days. Project work involves, reclamation operations of 22,240cbm, dredging and excavation operations of 8,640cmb, construction of a 160m quay wall, a 68.90m revetment and installation of 3,200sqm pavement.

In addition, a ceremony was held today at M. Muli island to mark the commencement of physical works of Meemu Airport Development project. The project was awarded to MTCC on March 28, and the MVR 221.733 million project is to be completed within 365 days. The project work involves, reclamation operations of 14 hectares, coastal protection operations of 1,812m, construction of a 1200m x 30m runway, taxiway and an apron.
