Minister said this in regards to the concerns raised on the negative impact towards Maldivian local businesses from the launch of The maiden voyage of the cargo ferry Service between India and the Maldives. On twitter minister Fayyaz assured that the cargo ferry brings goods bought by Maldivian Importers nothing more nothing less and it provides the certainty of shipping between India and Maldives.
Talking about the cargo ferry launch to an online news, famous businessman Ahmed Arif (Aattey) said that since it is a government initiative it must be good but it will also be a disadvantage to the local businesses.
The maiden voyage of the Cargo Ferry Service between India and the Maldives was jointly e-launched yesterday. The service will run twice a month and the first ferry will reach the Kulhudhuffushi port in North Maldives on 26th September.
