April 16, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 82 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 40 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 42 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 18 people are positive from operational resorts, and 24 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 26,021 cases, including 2,584 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 1,792 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 118 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 23,360.
According to HPA, there are 53 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 68 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
