The local male who passed away this Friday, declared as the 69th death reported from Covid-19 complications in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has stated that an 86 year old male brought to IGMH/ER in an unresponsive state was declared dead at 16:20 pm today. HPA has confirmed that this was the 69th death related to Covid-19, after testing the deceased to Covid-19.
This would also be the second death related to Covid-19 reported today. HPA informed that earlier today, an 82 year old woman, who was being treated for Covid-19 at Dharumavantha Hospital, passed away at 11:12.
With the two deaths reported in one day, Covid-19 related death toll has risen up to 69. In addition, the recent statistics show, 26,021 confirmed Covid-19 positive cases across the Maldives.
