April 23, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 319 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 108 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 211 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 21 people are positive from operational resorts, and 182 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 27,403 cases, including 3,207 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,094 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 51 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 24,116.

According to HPA, there are 98 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 71 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 288,903 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 69,802 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
