April 26, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 328 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 167 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 161 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 10 people are positive from operational resorts, and 127 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 28,202 cases, including 3,701 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,252 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 112 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 24,421.

According to HPA, there are 126 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 71 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 292,413 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 82,827 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
