May 02, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 508 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.
The total positive cases recorded include 276 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 232 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 12 people are positive from operational resorts, and 185 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 30,745 cases, including 5,594 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,523 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 134 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 25,068.
According to HPA, there are 172 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 74 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
