The UAE health ministry revealed on Tuesday that the country is now the world’s leading nation in its vaccination race efforts to combat coronavirus.
“This achievement is a testament to the success of the national vaccination campaign and the country’s proactive approach to achieving a sustainable recovery,” the ministry added.
As per the statistics, UAE is at the top of the vaccine distribution rate, becoming the first country in vaccine distribution per 100 people worldwide.
The latest figures by the UAE’s National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) show that more than 78.11 percent of residents and citizens in the UAE have now been vaccinated against COVID-19. It also states that 84.59 percent of those aged 60 and above have been vaccinated.
The UAE has approved Sinopharm, Pfizer, and Sputnik-V Covid vaccines for the country’s residents and nationals.
