June 15, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 224 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 111 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 113 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 105 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 70,897 cases, including 8,155 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,644 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 772 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 62,533.

According to HPA, there are 79 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 198 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 314,194 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 179,436 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
