June 19, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 211 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 54 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 157 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 25 people are positive from operational resorts, and 132 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 71,709 cases, including 5,403 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,415 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 918 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 66,090.
According to HPA, there are 46 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 205 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
