The Maldives has strongly condemned the attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait and Najran.
A statement released by the Government of Maldives stated that the country condemns the launch of a number of explosive-laden, booby-trapped drones targeted towards Saudi Arabia’s Khamis Mushait and Najran.
“The recent escalation and continuation of such attacks to civilian areas exhibits the elevated threat to the stability of the region, and indicates the urgent need for constructive engagement by the parties concerned to find peaceful solutions to the conflicts,” the statement reads.
Further in the statement, the Government of Maldives reaffirmed its solidarity with the people and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterates its steadfast commitment to work closely with the international community in the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
