June 22, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 145 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 61 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 84 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 07 people are positive from operational resorts, and 77 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 72,294 cases, including 4,569 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,569 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 359 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 67,507.

According to HPA, there are 39 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 207 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 315,397 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 184,212 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
