July 07, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 139 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 26 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 113 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 81 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 74,724 cases, including 2,932 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,745 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 355 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 71,567.

According to HPA, there are 22 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 213 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 317,762 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 206,245 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
