July 17, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 80 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 16 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 64 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 56 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 75,816 cases, including 2,516 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 6,928 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 142 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 73,072.

According to HPA, there are 23 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 216 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 320,482 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 255,954 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
