Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) have commenced installation of precast concrete blocks for the construction of quay wall of Sh. Bilehfahi Harbor on 27th July 2021.
The MVR 31.6 million worth project was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure in 2019.
Under the project, MTCC has completed dredging operations of the new harbor basin.
Scope of work under the project involves, dredging and excavation operations of 40,576cbm; construction of a 376m breakwater; a 98m quay wall; installation of 1,150 sqm paved area and installation of streetlights.
