July 28, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 141 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 22 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 119 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 20people are positive from operational resorts, and 98 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 77,094 cases, including 2,527 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,125 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 225 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 74,335.
According to HPA, there are 14 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 220 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
In addition to this, a total of 321,523 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 262,128 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
