August 02, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 86 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 31 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 55 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 18 people are positive from operational resorts, and 37 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 77,633 cases, including 2,472 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,472 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 170 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 74,928.
According to HPA, there are 19 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 221 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
