August 08, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 113 additional cases of Covid-19.
The total positive cases recorded include 19 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 94 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 23 people are positive from operational resorts, and 71 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 78,356 cases, including 2,577 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,664 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 97 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 75,545.
According to HPA, there are 22 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
