August 11, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 116 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 19 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 97 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts, and 84 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 78,690 cases, including 2,321 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 6,036 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 357 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 76,138.
According to HPA, there are 22 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
