August 14, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 74 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 13 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 61 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 10 people are positive from operational resorts, and 51 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 79,000 cases, including 1,735 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,813 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 299 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 77,031.

According to HPA, there are 18 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 342,793 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 294,364 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
