August 20, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 95 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 24 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 71 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 09 people are positive from operational resorts, and 62 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 79,754 cases, including 1,750 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,675 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 57 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 77,770.

According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 222 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 364,064 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 298,328 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
