August 31, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 152 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 26 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 126 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 48 people are positive from operational resorts, and 74 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 81,112 cases, including 1,730 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,124 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 131 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 79,143.

According to HPA, there are 22 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 226 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 383,620 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 301,182 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
