September 03, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 179 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 42 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 162 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 17 people are positive from operational resorts, and 120 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 81,653 cases, including 1,966 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,120 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 108 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 79,448.
According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 226 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
