September 24, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 61 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 29 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 32 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 24 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 84,164 cases, including 1,612 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,674 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 100 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 82,309.

According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 230 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 391,542 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 335,199 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
