October 01, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 57 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 22 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 35 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, one person is positive from operational resorts, and 34 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 84,866 cases, including 1,548 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 2,940 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 100 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 83,074.

According to HPA, there are 24 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 231 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 392,481 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 339,481 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
