October 04, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 65 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 19 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 46 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 04 people are positive from operational resorts, and 42 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 85,107 cases, including 1,477 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,583 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 92 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 83,385.

According to HPA, there are 19 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 232 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 392,591 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 341,401 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
