October 25, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 149 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 39 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 110 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 25 people are positive from operational resorts, and 85 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 87,071 cases, including 1,550 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,357 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 123 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 85,268.

According to HPA, there are 22 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 240 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 394,099 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 354,759 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
