Guidelines to demote nurses in Hulhumale’ hospital have been sent to the President's Office for approval.

With a recent peaceful rally conducted by the Hulhumale’ Hospital Nurses calling for a fair distribution of frontline allowance, Hulhumale’ hospital management decided to demote senior staff working in hospital wards, but due to bad criticism, Hulhumal’e hospital management has taken back its decision.

A Nurse from Hulhumale’ hospital, speaking to ‘Ras Online’, has said that ever since the rally, management of Hulhumale’ hospital has been trying to challenge the nurses as much as they can hence a modified Nurses guideline has been sent to the President's office for approval. If this gets approved, it will prevent promotions of Nurses, and fear of losing the job increases.

As per the information received, while Hulhumale’ hospital seeked views for the modified nurses guideline, a lot of staff raised concerns and criticised it.

Regarding this, we were unable to get a word from Hulhumale’ hospital management.
