SriLankan Airlines recommences schedule flights to Gan, Maldives.
The first flight of Sri Lankan Airlines after a two-year hiatus was warmly welcomed today at Gan International Airport. Travelers on this flight were welcomed by the Addu City Council, Sri Lankan Airlines management, and aviation staff, during a special ceremony held at Gan International Airport.
Initially, Sri Lankan Airlines began scheduled flights to Gan on 1 December 2016, with four flights per week. The flights came to a halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The flights have now resumed with one weekly flight between Addu City, Maldives, and Colombo, Sri Lanka.
SriLankan Airlines is the only international airline to fly to Gan International Airport.
