Lawyer of the recently arrested former football player, Shamweel Gasim (Bonda), says that Shamweel never had any connection with drugs.
Police seized 80 Kilos of drugs and arrested Ibrahim Rasheed (Abuchaa) who has been arrested on multiple drug trafficking cases, along with former football player Shamweel Gasim (Bonda), under the ongoing narcotics operations in Addu City.
Speaking in regards to this, Lawyer, of the former football player Shamweel Gasim (Bonda), Uz Shameel, has assured that Shamweel will not have any connection to the case and he never had connection to drugs.
“Shamweel was arrested from Hithadhoo, and no drugs were found on him or any connection to it was found during the arrest”, Said Uz Shameel.
He also further said that the media's reporting that Shamweel was arrested along with drugs is false information and called all media to stop spreading false information about Shamweel and act more responsible.
Meanwhile a video footage is shared in social media where it's seen the drug traffickers on a small dingy throwing off packed drugs to the sea prior to arrests made. For which, Pakistan media have reported that this operation was successful due to timely intelligence shared by Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Intelligence Wing.
