December 09: the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 125 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 23 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 102 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 07 people are positive from operational resorts, and 93 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 92,754 cases, including 1,867 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,701 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 140 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 90,625.

According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 255 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 396,106 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 365,177 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
