December 11: the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 218 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 20 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 198 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 10 people are positive from operational resorts, and 188 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 93,064 cases, including 1,933 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,246 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 85 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 90,861.
According to HPA, there are 15 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 257 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
