December 12: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 55 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 10 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 45 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 08 people are positive from operational resorts, and 37 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 93,119 cases, including 1,924 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,150 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 63 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 90,924.
According to HPA, there are 15 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 258 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
