December 15: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 162 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 29 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 133 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 15 people are positive from operational resorts, and 118 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 93,532 cases, including 2,009 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,593 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 133 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 91,251.
According to HPA, there are 23 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 259 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
