Maldivian Actor Yunan and his wife Rihula gets arrested for Child abuse.
Police have confirmed on receiving a report of child abuse of a 15 year-old male child from Hulhumale’ and confirmed that arrest have been made of 29 year-old man and a 30 year-old woman, regarding the case. Yunan and his wife Rihula were arrested midnight through a court order on Police investigations of the case.
While on Sunday, police initially put them under police protection upon request, as people protested near Yunan and Rihula’s home, calling to arrest them.
Regarding the case, the Ministry of Home Affairs have decided to keep Yunan and Rihula under custody for 7 days and continue further investigations.
Child abuse case was reported by a family member of Yunan.
