December 18: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 131 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 22 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 109 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 22 people are positive from operational resorts, and 87 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 93,864 cases, including 2,019 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,434 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 168 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 91,573.
According to HPA, there are 15 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 259 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
