December 20: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 100 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 22 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 78 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 27 people are positive from operational resorts, and 51 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 94,057 cases, including 1,952 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,443 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 119 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 91,832.
According to HPA, there are 12 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 260 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
