December 21: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 121 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 31 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 90 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 20 people are positive from operational resorts, and 90 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 94,178 cases, including 1,924 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,074 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 149 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 91,981.

According to HPA, there are 13 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 260 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 396,452 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 366,486 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
