December 21: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 121 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 37 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 84 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 34 people are positive from operational resorts, and 50 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 94,299 cases, including 1,927 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,381 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 118 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 92,009.
According to HPA, there are 15 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 260 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
