December 24: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 120 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 49 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 71 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 35 people are positive from operational resorts, and 36 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 94,564 cases, including 1,939 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 5,639 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 105 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 92,351.
According to HPA, there are 12 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 261 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
