January 01: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 191 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 53 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 138 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 66 people are positive from operational resorts, and 68 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 95,891 cases, including 2,381 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,433 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 108 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 93,235.
According to HPA, there are 16 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 262 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
