January 03: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 242 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 97 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 145 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 66 people are positive from operational resorts, and 78 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 96,294 cases, including 2,609 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,740 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 96 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 93,410.
According to HPA, there are 12 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 262 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
