January 09: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 384 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 153 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 231 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 117 people are positive from operational resorts, and 102 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 98,052 cases, including 3,511 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 3,730 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 173 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 94,264.
According to HPA, there are 18 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 264 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
