January 10: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 454 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 192 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 262 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 74 people are positive from operational resorts, and 165 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 98,506 cases, including 3,825 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,197 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 173 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 94,404.
According to HPA, there are 21 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 264 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
