January 11: The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 593 additional cases of Covid-19.
The recorded positive cases include 199 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 394 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 124 people are positive from operational resorts, and 197 people are positive from inhabited islands.
With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 99,099 cases, including 3,825 active cases to Covid-19.
So far, HPA has taken 4,320 test samples within the last 24 hours.
HPA also reported that 98 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 94,502.
According to HPA, there are 20 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 264 deaths from Covid-19 complications.
